5/28/2007-SOCOM: Confrontation has been announced for the PS3. SOCOM: Confrontation is supposed to be closer in gameplay to SOCOM 1 and 2 than it is to SOCOM 3. The game will first be released as a download on the PSN and later on a Blu-Ray disc. Here's a short trailer of the new game;
5/8/2007-Rumors of a fifth installment of SOCOM: US Navy Seals has leaked onto the internet. Currently no information has been given other than the fact that there will indeed be a SOCOM 4: US Navy Seals on the Playstation 3.
5/6/2007-Map Pack 2 is now scheduled to be released between mid-May and mid to late June. This information comes from DevGru_Echo, the Community Manager for Zipper Interactive.
5/6/2007-The cause for the Map Pack 2 Delay and the SOCOM: Combined Assault patch is the fact that Zipper has placed most of its focus on the Korean and European launches of the game. Now that they have been launched, we can only hope that they will be available for download soon.
5/5/2007-It appears that Zipper has started cracking down on glitchers and Code 9ers. Punishment increases as the number of offenses increases. Hopefully, we will see a decrease in the amount of cheaters, rank-ups, glitchers, etc.
